Delta-Q Technologies achieves ISO 9001 certification

Delta-Q Technologies Corp. is proud to announce that is it now ISO 9001 certified. ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for the quality management of businesses. Aquiring ISO 9001 certification shows commitment to quality, customers, and a willingness to work towards improving efficiency. It also enhances company image in the eyes of customers, employees and shareholders.

“Implementing a quality management system was essential in bringing together consistency in our processes and people so that Delta-Q can continue to strive for enhanced customer satisfaction and continual improvement utilizing the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle. Certification to ISO9001:2008 by an independent accredited third party provides our customers with confidence that our system and processes can meet their requirements with good quality that is customer focused.” – Delta-Q Quality Manager, Terry Annas.

In order to gain the ISO 9001 certification Delta-Q underwent several internal audits (internal auditor group made up of Delta-Q employees) then an external audit done by a third party, certification body. The certification body reviews all manuals and procedures, also looks at the company’s evaluation of quality and ascertains if targets set for the management programme are measurable and achievable. This is then followed up by an onsite audit (third party) to ensure that working practices are being followed, observe the procedures and stated objectives and that appropriate records are kept. There are then surveillance visits (one to two times per year) to ensure that the systems continue to work.

About ISO

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world’s largest developer and publisher of International Standards. ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 162 countries, one member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system. ISO is a non-governmental organization that forms a bridge between the public and private sectors. On the one hand, many of its member institutes are part of the governmental structure of their countries, or are mandated by their government. On the other hand, other members have their roots uniquely in the private sector, having been set up by national partnerships of industry associations. Therefore, ISO enables a consensus to be reached on solutions that meet both the requirements of business and the broader needs of society.
