Charged by Delta-Q Adds Sodium-Ion Battery Compatibility for Material Handling, Robotics, and Cold-Storage Equipment Through Acculon Energy Partnership

Partnership with Acculon Energy expands Delta-Q’s battery compatibility program to support sodium-ion technology for OEMs developing material handling, autonomous robotics, and cold-storage equipment.

VANCOUVER, BC – October 5, 2026 – Today, Delta-Q Technologies (Delta-Q), a leading provider of power management and charging solutions for electric vehicles and industrial equipment, announced Acculon Energy (Acculon), a sodium-ion battery manufacturer, as the newest partner in its battery compatibility program, Charged by Delta-Q. The addition brings sodium-ion technology to the program for the first time, giving OEMs access to a pre-validated battery and charging solution for material handling, autonomous robotics, cold storage, and other demanding applications.

As OEMs evaluate battery technologies for diverse applications and operating environments, factors such as duty cycle, temperature, charging requirements, and system integration are shaping battery selection. Sodium-ion is emerging as another option for these applications, with potential advantages in cold-temperature operation, fast charging, and durability.

“The introduction of Acculon’s sodium-ion technology into the Charged by Delta-Q ecosystem marks an important milestone for our compatibility program,” said Sarah MacKinnon, CEO of Delta-Q Technologies. “Through our collaboration, we’re helping OEMs evaluate and deploy emerging battery chemistries with confidence while reducing the complexity and risk of integration.”

The Charged by Delta-Q program helps OEMs identify battery, battery management system (BMS), and charger combinations that have been validated for compatibility and performance. The program’s goal is to enable OEMs to fast-track their battery-charging development by leveraging the expertise of leading industrial battery and charger experts.

“Working with Delta-Q has reinforced the importance of validating the complete battery and charging system, not just the battery itself,” said Andrew Thomas, Co-Founder and President of Acculon Energy. “As sodium-ion adoption accelerates, OEMs need confidence that their batteries, charging systems, and vehicle platforms are working together to deliver reliable and predictable performance. Charged by Delta-Q provides an excellent framework for that collaboration.”

The partnership supports ongoing collaboration between Delta-Q and Acculon to optimize charging performance for sodium-ion battery systems and support their deployment across material handling and industrial equipment applications.
