VANCOUVER, B.C. – On May 4, 2017, Delta-Q Technologies, along with other individuals, families, schools and businesses across British Columbia (BC), participated in Jeans Day to help support BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The annual Jeans Day fundraiser has raised over $20 million since its inception in 1990, and last year the hospital treated over 86,600 children. This year, the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation aims to raise $1.2 million.
“It is an honor to see Delta-Q Technologies’ employees proudly display their pins and buttons for the sixth time in a row, to help support Jeans Day for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation,” says Alma Cajic, Delta-Q Technologies’ Human Resources Manager. “Together we raised over $700. A huge thank you to our team for coming together and supporting such a great cause!”
In addition to button/pin sales, other fundraising initiatives were planned by their Social Committee, including a by-donation barbecue, table tennis and foosball tournament, and a fundraising raffle. Delta-Q Technologies’ employees have been personally touched by the incredible work BC Children’s hospital is doing, which is why they give so generously to this event.
All proceeds will go towards the Excellence in Child Health Fund, which supports the most urgent health-care needs at BC Children’s Hospital, including specialized research into childhood diseases, the purchase of and/or upgrades to state-of the art medical equipment, and education programs for caregivers and families.
