The “Charged by Delta-Q” program was created to build a community for OEMs, battery and BMS manufacturers and facilitate innovation and collaboration among the electric battery, charging and equipment sectors. Partnering with industry-leading battery and battery management systems (BMS) companies will help OEMs reduce the technical risk and time spent researching and testing batteries and chargers to find compatible electric power systems. All battery companies that are part of this program have had their optimized products iteratively tested and validated with Delta-Q chargers. 

We are excited to have RELiON Battery be a part of the launch of our program and bring optimized and compatible solutions to the marketplace alongside Delta-Q. To help our customers and audience learn more about RELiON Battery and their participation in the Charged by Delta-Q program, we interviewed Christine Feodorov, Executive Vice President of Sales.

What product(s) is/are RELiON featuring as part of the Charged by Delta-Q program?

Christine Feodorov:RELiON will feature 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V batteries that are optimized or compatible with Delta-Q chargers. These include various capacity Legacy and InSight batteries for golf/utility vehicles, material handling, floor machines, aerial work platforms, marine, recreational vehicles, and renewable energy applications. 

What are the key benefits that OEMs will get by working with RELiON Battery and the Charged by Delta-Q program? 

Christine Feodorov: The key benefit to OEMs partnering with RELiON is our design and engineering team, which have over 150 years of combined battery experience. Experience that has evolved with advancing technology through lead-acid and into lithium, and custom tailoring battery and charging solutions to some of the most challenging OEM application requirements.  

What market trends are RELiON Battery most excited about, and what is the company doing to help OEMs? 

Christine Feodorov:RELiON is excited that lithium is becoming a conventional battery chemistry for OEMs in many industries. To help OEMs, RELiON has developed batteries that can communicate with the devices they power through controller area network (CAN) communication and be customized according to individual OEM requirements.
