Delta-Q is happy to announce updates to some of our most popular charge profiles (also called algorithms). These updates are the result of real world data and customer feedback, and are designed to improve charging performance.
Profile #3 for ‘Trojan Constant Power dv/dt’
Profile #7 for ‘Trojan 305 Constant Power dv/dt’
(#3 from v1.00 to v1.03; #7 from v1.00 to v1.13)
- Fixed potential restart behavior when connected to fully-charged batteries. This was causing a nuisance Fault 1.
- Changed deep discharge recovery current to match finish current. This optimizes the deep discharge recovery time.
- Removed finish phase voltage cap. Batteries being built today can reach that voltage during early life and would be undercharged.
- Upgraded top-up logic from 30 days to 14 days and changed voltage threshold from 2.08 to 1.8V per cell. This gives more frequent top-ups and lowers the threshold to prevent frequent cycling of bad batteries.
Profile #12 for ‘Exide gel’
Profile #51 for ‘Exide 180Ah gel’
Profile #52 for ‘Exide 105Ah gel’
(#12 from v1.10 to v1.13; #51 from v1.00 to v1.03; #52 from v1.00 to v1.03)

Profile #62 for ‘Trojan Group 31 flooded dv/dt’
(#62 from v1.11 to v1.12)
- Fixed potential restart behavior when connected to fully-charged batteries. This was causing a nuisance Fault 1.
Profile #71 for ‘Generic 140-220Ag flooded dv/dt’
(#71 from v1.33 to v1.35)
- Fixed potential restart behavior when connected to fully-charged batteries. This was causing a nuisance Fault 1.
- Removed parallel charger detection. This was not functioning properly and caused irregular behavior.
- Removed bad battery detection logic in bulk phase. This caused false trips resulting in nuisance Fault 4.
- Upgraded top-up logic from 30 days to 14 days and changed voltage threshold from 2.08 to 1.8V per cell. This gives more frequent top-ups and lowers the threshold to prevent frequent cycling of bad batteries.
Profile #72 for ‘250 – 335Ah Flooded dv/dt’
(#72 from v1.33 to v1.37)
- Fixed potential restart behavior when connected to fully-charged batteries. This was causing a nuisance Fault 1.
- Changed deep discharge recovery current to match finish current. This optimizes the deep discharge recovery time.
- Removed parallel charger detection. This was not functioning properly and caused irregular behavior.
