Cloud-based fleet management is everywhere: car shares, golf carts, construction rental equipment, and now lift trucks too.
Have you wondered how you can prepare your lift truck to be compatible with telematics and fleet management using CAN-enabled components?
A smart battery charger is one place to start. In fact, a Class III lift truck battery charger not only runs the longest number of hours, but can also be “on” all the time monitoring / doing calculations.
This year at ProMat 2019 in Chicago, the largest expo for manufacturing and supply chain professional in North and South America, Delta-Q Technologies will present at the ProMat Education Seminar where you will learn how an on-board battery charger can collect useful information (such as charging data, trends, and charge history) to help fleet managers make informed choices about their Class III lift trucks.
During the education seminar, entitled “Electrifying The Future: Bringing Fleet Management Into Class III Lift Trucks”, Delta-Q’s Sales Application Manger, Conway Hui, will tell the story of a few chargers from the field today and will answer the following questions:
- What information did fleet managers see over the last few shifts?
- What issues were detected?
- What else can you get from a battery charger?
He will then look at how this information can feed into a telematics or cloud-based fleet management system and will cover
- What the data from a charger can tell you about an electric machine
- How to extract the charging data
- How to use the charger and battery data knowledge to your company’s benefit
The seminar will be held at Theatre D on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 2:15PM – 3:00PM and is recommended for those with intermediate knowledge on CAN protocol and cloud-based fleet management systems.
