On May 2, 2019, Delta-Q Technologies, along with 200,000 British Columbians, including individuals, families, schools and businesses, participated in Jeans Day to help support BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Since its inception in 1990, the annual Jeans Day fundraiser has raised over $21 million to transform healthcare for kids. It is one of Delta-Q’s biggest, most anticipated fundraising event of the year, because it allows our employees to get involved in helping children. Our employees wore their purchased Jeans Day lapel pins proudly and donned denim head-to-toe for the eighth year in a row!
“It is an honor to see Delta-Q Technologies’ employees proudly display their pins and buttons for the eighth time in a row in support of BC’s children,” says Alma Cajic, Manager, People & Culture. “Together we raised over $2000. A huge thank you to our team for coming together and supporting such a great cause!”
In addition to button/pin sales, Delta-Q’s social committee planned fundraising initiatives throughout the week, including a bake sale and by-donation barbecue lunch. The company’s employees are personally touched by the incredible work BC Children’s hospital is doing, which is why they give so generously to this event.
All proceeds will go towards the Excellence in Child Health Fund, which will help push forward innovative research, purchase advanced equipment, and create spaces and practices that prioritize the unique needs of kids and their families.
